Advaita Vedanta = Self-Realization only?

I do know that most Advaita Vedanta masters would say: "who is that hearing an inner sound? find out who that is and be happy?" --- in other words the heavyweights of Advaita Vedanta, both past and present, dont make any mention of a Sound Current as being synonomous with God or the highest state of realization.
